Quality & Compliance
Inspection, NDT & Quality Assurance
Independent inspection that proves what was built matches what was designed.
Overview
What this capability means at OneFit Projects
From vendor shops to operating plants, our inspection engineers verify dimensions, materials, welds and function against drawings, codes and purchase specifications. We deploy conventional and advanced NDT, 3D metrology and vision-based systems, and we issue reports that carry weight with insurers, regulators and end clients.
How we engage
- Scoped studies with fixed deliverables and price
- Turnkey packages delivered with our engineering, quality and digital teams
- Embedded specialists working in your tools and processes
- Retained support under a framework agreement
Service lines
8 ways we deliver inspection & ndt
Third-party inspection (TPI)
Vendor surveillance, stage inspections, witness testing and release inspection for fabricated equipment and components.
Welding & fabrication inspection
WPS/PQR review, welder qualification, fit-up, visual and dimensional inspection to AWS, ASME IX and ISO 3834.
Non-destructive testing
UT, PAUT, TOFD, RT, MT, PT, ECT and hardness testing by ISO 9712 / ASNT qualified personnel.
3D metrology & dimensional inspection
Laser scanning, CMM, laser tracker and photogrammetry for parts, assemblies and as-built plant.
In-service inspection & integrity
Risk-based inspection, corrosion monitoring, thickness surveys and fitness-for-service assessments for pressure systems and structures.
Lifting equipment inspection
Statutory and periodic inspection of cranes, hoists, lifting tackle and EOT systems with load testing.
Automated & vision inspection systems
Design and deployment of inline camera, laser and AI-based inspection stations for production quality.
Quality system & supplier audits
QMS audits, supplier assessments and process audits against ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100 and ISO 13485.

Inspection & NDT in practice
Risk-based inspection and fitness-for-service programme for refinery pressure systems
Implemented API 580/581 RBI across 1,200 pressure vessels and piping circuits and performed API 579 assessments on flagged equipment.
AI surface-defect inspection for a cold rolling mill
Deployed a line-scan vision system with deep-learning classification, replacing manual surface inspection at 600 m/min.
Structural qualification of a single-axis solar tracker for high-wind sites
Performed wind-load FEA, fatigue and dynamic analysis, optimised the torque tube and validated fabrication quality for a 45 m/s design wind speed.
Plant and machinery valuation and technical due diligence for an acquisition
Valued three manufacturing sites and quantified compliance and capex backlog to support the transaction.
Design-by-analysis re-rating of high-pressure reactors
Re-rated four hydrogenation reactors to a higher operating pressure using ASME VIII Div 2 design-by-analysis and fatigue assessment.
Structural life assessment and modernisation of ship-to-shore container cranes
Assessed fatigue life of six 25-year-old STS cranes and specified structural repairs and drive modernisation to extend service by ten years.
